In the beginning was...
Through my art, I want to celebrate God, His creation, and His great love for us. I aim to share encouraging messages with passersby, comfort those who are struggling, spark conversations about the imagery on the shirts or just wear the Saints and Scriptures we feel close to.
I was in line buying flowers when a woman approached me, admiring my St. Therese t-shirt. She shared that St. Therese was her favourite Saint and how she had once felt a devotion to her. She recounted how St. Therese had helped her through many situations. She had since stepped away from the church, and said she missed going to mass and that she had fallen into depression.
This t-shirt was the start of a conversation in which I was able to share an encouraging word. Maybe God's way to bring her back to the church....back to her faith, back to him.
I started my career as an Interior Designer. I have always been passionate about creating art. I had the fortunate opportunity to study art in Florence, Italy, so I left design and went to Europe. I studied various art forms, including classical drawing, fresco painting, I worked painting illusionary ceilings in a hotel with a local artist. I worked in an Italian furniture painting studio, studied Italian language and travelled across the country. I learned about my faith and the bible through the stunning frescoes in churches.
After a year and a half in Italy, I returned home to establish my own art and design business, creating murals, and hand-painted Florentine furniture. I had the opportunity to paint murals and finishes on ceilings at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls and Windsor Casinos.
Then I shifted my focus to designing 3D theatres, and then to pursue teaching. I have been sharing my knowledge with high school students, covering subjects such as architectural design, graphic design, art, and religion.
Despite my various endeavours, I have always desired to return to art. This passion has inspired me to start creating t-shirts that combine my love for art and my love for God. We are a religious t-shirt design studio dedicated to transforming the world of religious apparel by turning historical art into creative designs.
